220MW Solar Farm

Sunraysia Solar Farm is a 230MW solar photovoltaic generation station that feeds the 220kV Transmission system operated by TransGrid. Over 1 million solar panels feed into 104 Power Conversation Units (PCUs) with 2.2MVA step up power transformers, interconnected via 52 Ring Main Units (RMUs) across the 33kV solar farm reticulation system. The reticulation system feeds into 8 x 33kV Incomers across two High Voltage Switchboards before feeding into a 220kV, 250MVA Power Transformer at Balranald substation.
